Jaeken Funerals
“We succeed in making our funerals homey and cozy”, says Danny Jaeken from Jaeken Funerals (in Peer, Belgium). He describes how the lights emphasize the warm design of the auditory. It’s also well integrated within the Liviau system.
The color transitions of the lights are smooth and it unconsciously contributes to a peaceful environment. He clarifies: “You can choose between different colors and it automatically changes. At this moment, our atmospheric lighting is the only thing that is connected to the Liviau but we’re going to attach the rest of the light too.”
Danny Jaeken was searching for a system that could make his work lighter and perhaps even stand out in comparison with the concurrence. “Eventually, I found a solution with Liviau. You have to get used to the handlings but once you get the hang of it, it’s a pleasure to work with since the applications are clear and well-structured.”
The mortician from Peer had some troubles with understanding the handlings because of the generation gap. “We don’t adapt so fast to new things in comparison to the younger generation. But even I, at the age of 57 years, was abel to learn the Liviau system pretty fast . On top of that, there’s the Teamviewer app, which allows others to help me from a distance.
His younger employee, Daan Franken, is able to control the Liviau from out of his own office. “It’s definitely a nice feature. We can’t let anything go wrong during a funeral and having the possibility of helping out Danny reduces his ‘troubles’. If he forgets something, I’m still there to start a video or select the next song”, Daan concludes.
